Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian film actor, producer, television host, and former politician. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s for films such as Zanjeer, Deewaar, and Sholay, and was dubbed India's "angry young man" for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Referred to as the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Star of the Millennium, or Big B.

In June 2000, Bachchan became the first living Asian to have been immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds London.

In May 2009, a lifelike wax figure of Bachchan has been unveiled at the newly launched 'Bollywood Zone' in Madame Tussauds at Times Square in New York.

In March 2011, Bachchan's wax image has been unveiled at the "World Famous Home of the Famous" Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

On 5 December 2012, Bachchan's wax image has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds museum Washington, DC.
